About this section
Assembling Objects measures spatial visualization: you look at separate pieces and choose the picture that shows them correctly put together. It is not part of the AFQT and is used by some services when qualifying recruits for certain jobs, so check whether your target job relies on it.
There are 8 lessons in this category. They begin with spatial orientation basics and matching connection points, then move to mental rotation and part-to-whole assembly. Later lessons cover hidden edges and occlusion, distractor elimination for ruling out near-miss answers, and speed and visual scanning. The final lesson brings everything together in a mixed AO practice strategy.
Spatial skills improve with repetition, so short, frequent sessions work well here, and you will usually notice your speed improving as the shapes become familiar. A lesson test follows each lesson to check your accuracy.
